SGF came about when our founders decided to visit Mogadishu, Somalia, after suddenly losing their beloved mother to covid-19. She was a remarkable woman, a fighter and hard worker who never complained, who was a great believer in the power of women. She encouraged them and raised them to be independent, educated individuals and never be intimated by the male- dominated society. they cannot imagine her struggle, leaving everything and everybody she loved behind so that her children could have the opportunity to achieve their ambitions. She was a great role model, pillar of the community and constantly giving helping hand. From a very young age their mum has motivated them of the importance of helping those in need, she also inspired them to go back to their motherland to
assist those less fortunate than them.
For those reasons and many more, they wanted to create an organisation dedicated to their beloved mother, sharing her values with the world, supporting people to achieve their full potential, and promoting animal welfare in countries with zero tolerance for animal rights. Growing up in a diverse society, appreciating the beauty of different cultures, traditions, languages, and the fact that they love to travel has motivated them to make the organisation both international and local.
